CONCEPT

The images were shot in a subway station in Vienna. Rather than isolating the subject from the environment, the surrounding movement of commuters, trains and escalators became an essential part of the scene.

VISUAL LANGUAGE

The visual approach combines stillness with motion. While the main character remains calm and composed, the movement of the city appears slightly blurred. Commuters passing by, trains arriving at the station and escalators carrying people.

This contrast between presence and movement creates a subtle narrative about navigating the rhythm of urban life.

At the same time, the garment remains visually constant throughout the series, quietly referencing the idea of clothing designed to exist beyond fast seasonal cycles.

CLOSING FRAME

The final image shifts the focus from the surrounding environment to a small, personal gesture, adjusting the collar of the knitwear piece. After the movement of the station and the city, the series ends on a quieter moment that brings attention back to texture, material and detail.
